OperaBook is not a simple collection
of texts of operas, but a collector can show the most diverse
information for the 53 operas available, such as: year premiere, theater
premiere, subject and librettists, duration and setting. You can also
see a list, with its voice and brief description of all the characters
associated to the opera selected, along with a complete plot divided by
acts.
The Archive function allows you to keep track of operas heard, whether in theater, television or radio: it is possible to store the opera in the database,
associate information such as composer, date of hearing, place and each
item of technical and artistic cast, with the ability to add an
explanatory note for each element of the cast. A search function allows you to find, among the operas of the Archive, all those which include for example a particular singer, director and composer.
OperaBook is also able to show a list of composers, each of them has a personal page, where you can access the list of operas in this catalog. There is also a short list of theaters, Italians
and foreigners, for whom is available the opera season now in the
program, including information on works and dates of first and replicas.
Only a few theaters are available for additional information such as ticketing and location via Maps.
A list of favorite operas helps to have access to that more frequent consultation.
